~ Taco Bake ~
* This was given to me by a friend. It is a weight watchers recipe. Sorry I don't have the points value. I haven't tried it yet.
1 lb Lean Ground Beef 90% lean 1/2 c Onion, Diced 1/2 c Red Bell Peppers, Or Green Bell Peppers 8 oz Crescent Rolls, Reduced Fat, Refrigerated 14 oz Pinto Beans, With Or Without Jalapenos 1 taco seasoning 16 oz Tomato Sauce 1 c Kraft 2% Cheddar Cheese, Finely Shredded
Preheat oven to 375.
Brown beef, onion and pepper, drain.
Spray 9" X 13" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Unroll crescent rolls (they will fit right inside pan). Pinch together to make crust. Bake for 6 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, beans and taco seasoning to beef; mix thoroughly. Top crust with meat mixture and bake an additional 10 minutes. Top with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Per Serving: 318 Cal (39% from Fat, 27% from Protein, 34% from Carb); 21 g Protein; 14 g Tot Fat; 2 g Sat Fat; 1 g Mono Fat; 0 g Poly Fat; 27 g Carb; 5 g Fiber; 3 g Sugar; 34 mg Calcium; 2 mg Iron; 891 mg Sodium; 56 mg Cholesterol

Car: how many servings does this make? Interested in what the portion size is. I could eat 1/4 of this, easy lol! Sounds delicious & like it would really hit the hunger spot!

No idea, Jean. The recipe was given to me and I haven't made it yet. Guess it would help to know what a serving was, eh?

9 x 13 pan? I'd say that's 4 servings, right Car? Yep, sounds about right
