These are so simple i'm ashamed to post them!
Italian Dip
1. 16 oz container of soured cream 2. 1 (or 1 1/2) envelope Good Seasons Italian salad dressing 3. crudities
Mix 1 & 2 together. For optimum flavor let it sit in the 'fridge for an hour or so You can also throw in some very finely minced fresh garlic & drizzle the top with Balsamic vinegar & olive oil, mixed
Best with fresh veggies
Bleu Cheese Dip
1. 1 8oz bar of cream cheese--fully fatted if you wish to freeze this dip, otherwise use lower fat. Room temp 2. 4 - 6 oz blue cheese also room temp 3. Dash of Worcestershire or Tabasco sauce, to taste
Mash 'em together. serve at room temp w/ sliced fruit--apples, pears-- Or serve up on water crackers w/ smoked thinly sliced Scottish smoked salmon w/ a dab of bleu cheese on top.
You can also put this on Melba toasts or party rye, stick under the broiler for a few SECONDS. Top w/ the smoked salmon & a dill frond, if desired
Pineapple Ginger Dip 1. 8 oz bar of cream cheese 2. about 1/4 cup good vanilla ice cream, softened OPTIONAL 3. Pinch of ginger or 1/2 tsp grated fresh 4. About 1/3 cup pineapple preserves
Mix them together, serve with fruits or fresh broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers etc
