Hummus
2 cans of chickpeas (Garbanzo beans). Boil until soft 2-4 cloves of garlic Salt (according to taste) 4 tablespoons Tahini (sesame paste) 1/2 cup lemon juice
Drain chickpeas. (reserve some water) Put garlic in food processor and mince. Add chickpeas and mince. Add salt, tahini and lemon juice. Mix. If mixture is too thick, add a bit of the reserved water. It should look like a creamy consistency. Check taste for additional lemon or salt.
Serve on a platter or in nice bowl. Garnish with drizzled extra virgin olive oil, cayenne pepper and/or cumin pepper. Serve with warm pita bread.
